Howie Mandel In The Hospital, American Idol Returns Tonight
Look like all the work Howie Mandel has been doing for NBC is finally catching up to him. He was checked into Toronto hospital with what was first believed to be a heart attack but luckily it turned out to be just an irregular heart beat. Mandel was in Toronto shooting his new show Howie Do It for NBC. He is expected to be released and back to work tomorrow.
One of my favorite hows finally returns tonight, American Idol is back on the air at 8 pm. There is going to be several new changes this season one of which will be obvious right off the bat. They have added a fourth judge to go along with Randy, Paula and Simon. Kara DioGuardi who is a Grammy nominated producer and song writer will be adding her 2 cents worth of judging the contestants. Other changes are wild card selections for the judges is returning. This is something they did in earlier seasons where the judges can bring back contestants who were snubbed by the viewers. Also the singers who survive the early cuts will have extended Hollywood auditions and there is going to be more behind the scenes stuff shown.
