Willie Ames holds garage sale

Published by wv918 under Celebrity Edit This

Its just sad to read this, former child star Willie Ames is so hard up he had a garage sale on the lawn of his home in Olathe,Kansas the other day. He has had all sorts of trouble lately ranging from bankruptcy to divorce to even an attempted suicide.

I love watching old TV shows and I spot him every so often in episodes of Little House on the Prairie and even in Gunsmoke. He got his start back in 1971 playing the son of Felix (played by Tony Randall) in the Odd Couple. Then he was in numerous Walt Disney TV movies before getting the role of Tommy Bradford on Eight is Enough.

After that ended he was in several movies including Paradise and Zapped, then got the role of Buddy Lembeck in Charles in Charge which ran from 1984-1990.

After that he never was in any other big TV shows but he did create a character named Bible Man and several of those episodes ran on TV.

Madonna’s latest adoption hearing postponed

Published by wv918 under Celebrity, Music Edit This

Madonna’s latest attempt to adopt another child from the country of Malawi has hit a small snag. Her adoption hearing has been postponed until Friday according to Eonline.com

She had a hearing this morning behind closed doors but no official ruling was made and they were adjourned until Friday. If the adoption of the 4 year old girl goes through, it will be her second child from Malawi with her 3 year old son David being the other.

Madonna has taken some criticism from local people while she has been in Malawi. She intends on building an all girl’s Oprah like school in the town and local people are having to give up their land for the project.

T.I. gets prison time

Published by wv918 under Celebrity, Music Edit This

I don’t know how I let the story of rapper T.I. Being sentenced get by me. Probably because I could care less about rap music today and the artists in it. Anyway T.I., real name Clifford Harris,I’m sure Clifford just don’t sound right when your being brought on stage, was sentenced to 1 year and 1 day in prison in an Atlanta court room.

Clifford’s legal troubles began when he was arrested back in 2007 for having 3 unregistered machine guns and 2 silencers. What in the world do you need 3 machine guns for and silencers, dude was up to no good and thankfully he got caught. He has between 30 to 60 days to report to began his sentence.

Hes got a show on MTV called T.I.’s Road to Redemption,I’ve passed by it a few times but honestly can’t stand to watch it. He just seems so fake to me,like he’s being made to do it just to lighten his prison sentence.

Most rap music thats made today I can’t stomach. The majority of the videos you’ll see women in bikini’s having beer or champagne poured over their head and being called the b word or worse. I’ve heard older rap music like Run DMC for instance where you didn’t hear all that crap that you hear today.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High 27 years later

Fast Times at Ridgemont High was a comedy made in 1982 and centered around the lives of four students, Stacy Hamilton, Mark Ratner, Linda Barrett and Mike Damone. Stacy was played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, Mark was Brian Backer, Linda was Phoebe Cates and Mike was Robert Romanus.Judge Reinhold played Stacy’s older brother Brad. You also had a young Sean Penn playing Jeff Spicoli before he was the big star that he is today.

So fast forward 27 years and checkout what all the stars are doing today and what they look like.

Of course everybody knows who Sean Penn is and what a big star he has become. He’s won 2 Oscars since Jeff Spicoli the most recent one being this year for his portrayal of Harvey Milk in the movie Milk.I also just read he has agreed to be in the new 3 Stooges movie that is to begin shooting soon. He’s going to play Larry Fine, so that should be interesting to see.

Jennifer Jason Leigh’s last movie was in 2008, the title of it was Synecdoche, New York and starred Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Robert Romanus was in the movie Route 30 last year and has also been on several TV shows. He was on a show Christian Slater had recently on NBC titled My Own Worst Enemy.

Brian Backer, I really couldn’t find out much on him other than he was in The Loser in 2000, so if anybody has any info on him let me know.

phoebe cates,1982phoebe cates,2008
Phoebe Cates married the actor Kevin Kline and they have two children. She last appeared in the 2001 movie Anniversary Party. She opened up a boutique in 2005 on Madison Avenue in New York City called Blue Tree.

Who got voted off American Idol?

Published by wv918 under Music, Television Edit This

It wasn’t much of a surprise who got voted off American Idol last night but it was surprising who was in the bottom three. Michael Sarver the oil rig worker from Texas eventually was told he was the lowest vote getter. I expected Megan Corkrey to be one of the bottom three but surprisingly she wasn’t.

The other two in the bottom three were Scott MacIntyre which I didn’t expect but wasn’t all that surprised either because the judges praise of him is getting less and less every week. Matt Giraud was the shocker in the bottom three for me. I just don’t understand how he didn’t have enough votes to keep a seat on the safe couch.

I’ve always believed that the producers of American Idol do some shady stuff with that voting process. Like this week I think they stuck Giraud in the bottom three to make the audience believe that the judges may have to use their coveted Save on him.

Say it was Megan Corkrey, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre in the bottom three, the judges may use it on MacIntyre or they may not but if you stick Matt Giraud in there the audience is going to stay glued to the TV to see if the judges use it.

Then also you have the NCAA basketball tournament Sweet 16 games going on over on CBS so you know the producers of American Idol are worried about that cutting into their viewing audience.
