Who got voted off American Idol?
Well I was wrong about who was getting the boot last night on American Idol but I’m terrible at predicting those kinds of things. The two voted off were Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez. Jasmine I was surprised she got voted off, not that she sang all that well but I thought she would have some of the teenage vote and that would help her at least through a few weeks.
Jorge I thought would last a whole lot longer than he did. Heck in earlier rounds he had almost all the judges in tears and I thought he would grab some emotional voters after the judges telling him to sing in whatever language he was comfortable with and him crying.
There also was the big secret new rule that they announced last night. It gives the judges the power to save one contestant who gets voted off. It can be used only once during the season so they have to use it wisely.
I think the new rule has a lot to do with Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson slipping through the cracks and the producers don’t like that because they can’t claim them as American Idol champions. Instead the got Taylor (soul patrol) Hicks and Ruben Studdard.
