Inglourious Basterds to debut at Cannes
There supposedly wasn’t much excitement about this years Cannes Film Festival which runs from May 13 to the 24 in Cannes, France. That is until it was announced that Brad Pitt and director Quentin Tarantino were bringing their latest movie titled Inglourious Basterds to be viewed and reviewed.
Tarantino has entered the movie in the festivals Palm D’Or competition which goes to the best picture at the festival. Tarantino previously won the award back in 1994 with the movie Pulp Fiction.
Inglourious Basterds is a war movie set in WWII and is about Brad Pitt leading a group of Jewish American soldiers into battle against the Nazi.

Subject matter sounds like a departure for Tarantino! I guess he can still get some gore in though.
