Perez Hilton vs. Miss California
I bet Miss California Carrie Prejean didn’t think she was going to cause such a uproar when she answered judge Perez Hilton’s question on the Ms. America pageant Sunday night. Perez Hilton asked Miss California if she believed in gay marriage. She said ” We live in a land where you can choose same sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I my country, in my family, I think that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there but that’s just how I was raised.”
She came in second to Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton and said afterwards in TV interviews she thinks her answer may have cost her the crown. She did say however that she sticks to her answer and wouldn’t change it even if it did mean she came in second place.
Of course Perez Hilton didn’t like the answer. He called her a dumb bitch on his twitter page then apologized but then took his apology back. I saw him on Larry King last night and he wasn’t to mean to her. He was just saying her answer cost her the crown which is the same thing she was saying in interviews.
I personally think that’s her opinion and shes entitled to it. You don’t have to agree with it but it is what it is. If Perez Hilton had an idea he wasn’t going to like the answer she gave then he should have never asked the question.

Why is he surprised by her answer, California did vote YES on Prop 8. It’s not about equality, its about right & wrong; just read the bible. If everyone accepted the homosexual lifestyle, we all would go to hell in a hand basket. For Ms. CA to lose the crown because her beliefs are correct, then that shows you how much the world needs prayer.

1. There are few biblical verses that address homosexuality at all, and most of those are not directed at homosexuality per se. 3. The Bible never mentions or condemns the concept we call same-sex marriage. Although opponents of same-sex marriage claim that lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender unions violate biblical principles, no verses in the Bible explicitly address gay marriage or committed same-sex relationships.
4. Those who claim a “biblical definition of marriage” as a model for today ignore various marital arrangements in the Bible that would be illegal or condemned today. The Bible is filled with stories of polygamy and husbands taking concubines. In accordance with the culture and laws of the past, women were often treated like property that could be traded or sold into marriage. Today we understand that these examples of marriage reflect the cultural practices of the time rather than a spiritual model for today.

I also believe in freedom of speech but when speech is use for hate toward another group then I don’t. I take it your a women how would you feel if you still didn’t have any rights like back in the olden days? In 1880 the American Bible Society voted remove the “Apocrypha” Books from the King James Version. These 14 Books [There are 155,683 words in over 5,700 verses in 168 Chapters] of the Apocrypha had been part of the King’s bible since 1611.
The “Apocrypha” was officially removed from the English printings of the KJV by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1885 leaving only 66 books.
Makes one wonder why they did this? Just like the bible was written in Greek and Hebrew someone had to translate over to English have you ever wonder if maybe they got it wrong? Most people have not carefully and prayerfully researched the biblical texts often used to condemn God’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender children.

For example, many Christians don’t know that:
Jesus says nothing about same-sex behavior.
The Jewish prophets are silent about homosexuality.
Only six or seven of the Bible’s one million verses refer to same-sex behavior in any way — and none of these verses refer to homosexual orientation as it’s understood today.
Most people who are certain they know what the Bible says about homosexuality don’t know where the verses that reference same-sex behavior can be found. They haven’t read them, let alone studied them carefully. They don’t know the original meaning of the words in Hebrew or Greek. And they haven’t tried to understand the historical context in which those words were written. Yet the assumption that the Bible condemns homosexuality is passed down from generation to generation with very little personal study or research. The consequences of this misinformation are disastrous, not only for God’s gay and lesbian children, but for the entire church.

Ok really what it comes down to is equal rights that’s all just like women and blacks got there rights we want are’s. I just don’t think its fair that someone loses an opportunity because they have a certain opinion; and Californians shouldn’t be so surprised by her answer when they were the ones who vote Yes on Prop 8..that’s all. I do wish that gay people would stop comparing their rights to those of women and blacks. People are born a certain sex or race, they can’t do anything about it.
